UW Bothell & Cascadia Campus Library Appointments 

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, appointments for checkouts and Faculty Reserve drop-off appointments for the week of Monday, Dec. 27 - Thursday, Dec. 30th are no longer available.

During Winter Break the Campus Library will offer some services by appointment, including pickup up of requested library materials and Faculty drop offs for Reserve. Complete information about requesting library items can be found on our website.  

No appointment is necessary to return library materials.  While our building is closed the following book returns are open 24/7, as long as operations have not been suspended on campus: 

  • Outside the library to the right of the library entrance
  • On Campus Way NE, south of the pedestrian overpass near the near the campus loading dock

Book returns are also located on the Seattle and Tacoma campuses.  Laptops should not be returned in a book return.  Do not come to campus if operations are suspended.

Follow these steps to make an appointment and pick up your item(s):

  1. You will receive an email when your requested materials are on our hold shelf. To check the status of your holds at any time, log in to your Library Account. Please wait until you recieve a notice that your holds are available before making an appointment. 

  2. Make an appointment by selecting an available (green) day and time at the bottom of this page. You may need to use the arrow buttons or Go To Date option to find a timeslot.  Click the Submit Times buttonfill out the booking form, and click the Submit my Booking button. If you need assistance, email library staff at botcirc@uw.edu

    • Our electronic appointment system requires appointments to be made 2 hours in advance. If this isn't possible, contact botcirc@uw.edu

    • You will receive an email confirmation letting you know we received your appointment request, and another email after we have approved your request. If you do not see these emails, please check your junk or spam email folders. 

  3. There are free short term parking spaces available on Campus Way NE. Free parking is also often available on Beardslee Boulevard, just a short walk from campus and the library.  Follow these links to see a Campus Map, Google Directions, or busses to campus.

  4. While on campus wear a mask or other face covering (in accordance with the UW Face Covering Policy). After you arrive at the library entrance, call the library at (425) 352-5340 (number and doorbell also on easel signage at the Library). Staff will then let you into the building and check materials out to you. Staff will only answer this phone line during times when appointments have been made.
